Was die Entwickler diese Tools ihnen unter DHTML für Browser ab Version von 4.0 zur Verfügung stellen ist wirklich hervorragend und außergewöhnlich. Sie  müssen sich zwar erst an der ungewöhnlichen Programmführung gewöhnen, sie können aber alles grafisch erledigen. Interaktivität ist die stärkste und beeindruckendste Möglichkeit diese Programmes. Sie können nicht nur  Aktionen auslösen, sie können den einzelnen Geschehen auch Werte und Variablen zu ordnen, so das sie Ereignisse bei ganz bestimmten Zuständen zuordnen können. Am besten schauen sie sich die Beispiele im Netz an.

(October 26, 1998) Virtual Mechanics today announced the release of IMS Web Engine Professional, Version 1.0, the company's  new flagship Animation Software for the creation of Interactive Web Pages. "IMS Web Engine (Professional)" is a visual DHTML authoring application for the creation of interactive web pages, games, stories, and educational  dynamic content. The program features a WYSIWYG, Drag and Drop intuitive interface that is ideal for the novice user while providing many desktop publishing components that are demanded by the professional. IMS Web Engine  (Professional) is available at a special introductory price of $49.95 until the end of December 1998 on Win95/98 and NT 4 systems.

"IMS Web Engine's" Drag and Drop intuitive user interface is ideal for novice users while its extensive set of features provides more functions than even the professional expects. IMS Web Engine is designed for  Win95/98/NT.

Features unique to "IMS Web Engine" include Inverse Mechanics and Artificial Behavior which means that vector geometry can be used as motion paths in a hierarchical fashion while triggers can be  defined by more than simple Mouse and Timing Events. Behaviors include amongst others: Object Intersection, Object Triggers, Advanced Counter Triggers, Metamorph
operations or Combinations based on Logical AND/OR flags.

Other features include a TEXT, HTML and Rich Text editor that also supports conversion between these formats and the ability to import/export these formats from other popular text editors including MS Word. HTML can be imported,  manually edited and used without concern that it will be modification by the program. In addition to creating motion paths, the Vector/Polygon editor can be used to create buttons and graphics with texture maps. "IMS Web  Engine" supports the import/export of several popular bitmap and audio formats including GIF, JPEG, BMP, WAV and Midi. The program can also be instructed to gather all files together into the publishdirectory to substantially  minimize the occurrence of missing objects in the webpage.

IMS Web Engine (Professional) is the first of a series of products to be released by VirtualMechanics. IMS (Interactive Multimedia System) delivers  intelligent Behaviors and InverseMechanics to vector based graphics, sprites, text and audio to create dynamic interactivemultimedia presentations.

IMS Web Engine (Personal) is scheduled for release prior to the end of the 1998. This product
will provide many of the feature available in the professional version but with many simplified userinterface functions. This product  will be ideal for the casual web page designer.

IMS Web Engine 3D is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 1999. It will provide
interactive 3D capabilities to the serious Internet Web author. Output will be in  VRML and otheremerging formats.

Virtual Mechanics is also developing other software products and will announce them as they become available.
